Do I always have to use the sliding technology?

The base is safely installed in the car when you see green indicators in these locations: on both ISOFIX connectors, support leg on the floor and locked position of the rotating base. Besides the green indicators the clear clicking sound gives audible feedback.

Yes, the seat is safe when all indicators are green — even if the base and/or seat moves slightly. Always check that all green indicators are visible to confirm correct installation in the car. If they are all green, the seat is properly installed and safe to use. The seat is also safe in the slide-out position. It can easily support a weight of up to 25 kg, as proven in a long-term durability test.
