Checking local availability

This product is made to order and can take 3-4 weeks - Please call for more information. Due to the specialised nature of this product, we regret that it is not available with any of our discount options or Next Day Delivery.

The Magnetic Harness offers additional restraint to support passengers who may otherwise open regular harness buckles. This harness is secured to the vehicle seat and is fastened at the front of the occupant and is classified as a challenging behaviour car seat.

The design of this harness is effective for passengers who would otherwise remove themselves from standard products.

The front panels are shaped for support and comfort. You push the 'magnetic buttons' shut to secure the harness and simply use the magnetised keys to release them again.

This harness can be used in a car or a bus. Suitable for children up to mid-teenage.

It can be opened in an emergency by simply pressing the buckle at the rear of the seat. It fits perfectly with this car seat which is why we have paired it, to get the best use possible.

The car seat will be sent in the colour we have available unless otherwise stated by the customer.

Please contact us at info@incarsafetycentre.co.uk to specify a colour, or if you have any further questions.

Price includes the cost of our Seat Belt Cutter & Window Hammer that comes with a window sticker that explains where the seat belt cutter is kept, in case of emergencies.

Magnetic Harness — Sizing Guide for Parents

The Magnet Vest is a magnetic safety harness designed to keep a child secure and comfortable in a wheelchair or seating system. Here's what parents need to know when choosing the right size.

Which size does my child need?

Size Best suited for
Small Ages 4–12 years approx. (must be used together with a booster seat)
Medium (Standard) Age 8 years approx. through to adulthood
Large Adults from around 5ft 9" tall and taller

Understanding the measurements

The vest is measured at four key points:

  • A – Bib height: how far the front panel extends down the chest
  • B – Width at shoulders: the distance across the top of the vest
  • C – Width at neck: the gap at the neckline
  • D – Bib width: the width of the vest at its widest point across the front

Sizing chart (in mm)

Measurement Small Medium Large
A – Bib height 220mm 260mm 380mm
B – Width at shoulders 210mm 250mm 340mm
C – Width at neck 100mm 120mm 180mm
D – Bib width 230mm 290mm 370mm

Helpful notes from the manufacturer

  • Bib height (A) is the most important measurement — it should be judged in relation to your child's sternum line (roughly where the breastbone ends). The harness neckline shouldn't sit too close to the throat, so use the sternum line as an upper guide.
  • Neck width (C) has some flexibility, since the webbing straps adjust in use — but care should be taken to prevent chafing.
  • Bib width (D) isn't a strict limiting factor, as the webbing continues around your child's waist for a secure fit.

In short

If you're unsure which size is right, the sternum line measurement (A) is the one to focus on first — it ensures the harness sits safely and comfortably without being too close to your child's neck.
