Rear/Forward Facing Seats Gb Car Seats | In Car Safety Centre
Many of our toddler seats will have the option of both rearward and forward facing. Our swivel seats will typically go rearward right up to 105cm, or they can be brought forward-facing from 15 months if you wish. Some of our 25kg seats will also have this option. We always recommend rear-facing for ...as long as possible, but this is up to the parent and also sometimes the situation. We understand that rear-facing can take up more space, which isn’t always ideal for small cars or taller front seat passengers, so at least with the option to do both, you can rear-face for as long as it suits you. R44 seats can be turned forward-facing from 9kg, which we feel is still far too young, and R129 seats can be turned forward from 15 months, which is a step in the right direction, but still not as long as we think is best. Some people will get a seat that does both and keep it rear-facing the whole time, but again, this is down to the individual. Discuss your situation with our trained advisers and see what options are available to you. Browse our range, and contact us with any questions you may have.Read More
