Hip Spica

DDH (developmental dysplasia of the hip) is when the ball and socket do not fit snugly together. There is a variety in severity and one or both hips may be affected. About 1 or 2 in every 1000 babies have a hip problem that requires some form of treatment. Many other babies have immature hips that will eventually heal by itself. We offer a solution in two forms. Firstly, a car seat that can be purchased or loaned and secondly a lay flat harness. These can be seen below. Please see the Loan Scheme information within the Services section.

2-Way Elite CDH Modified

This is an adapted version of the 2-Way Elite for children with Hip Dysplasia. It is suitable for use in most cases for children in plaster casts or a harness/brace. This adapted seat must be used rearward facing only when it is modified.

E-Z-On Harness (101M2)

The E-Z-On harness is used for children/adults who need to travel in a lay flat position.

E-Z-On Harness (Large)

The E-Z-On harness is used for adults who need to travel in the prone position.

E-Z-On Harness (M203)

The E-Z-On harness is used for children who need to travel in a prone position.
